who i am…
Being able to speak out, educate, and advocate for reproductive justice, especially in a post-Roe world, has been one of the greatest honors of my life. This work didn’t start as a “career move.” It came from years of listening to patients who felt dismissed, unheard, or left to navigate a complicated medical system alone. What began in exam rooms grew into a public mission: helping people understand their bodies, their rights, and their power.
I’m an OB/GYN Physician Assistant with more than a decade of clinical experience and the founder of Take Back Trust, a digital platform built to help people navigate reproductive healthcare with confidence, clarity, and zero shame. Whether you’re choosing birth control, experiencing miscarriage or loss, seeking abortion care, navigating queer-affirming medicine, or simply wanting to feel respected in a medical appointment, Take Back Trust provides education, visit-planning tools, real-world scripts, and “Know Your Rights” guides that center patients—not systems.
I’m also a content creator, media strategist, and public speaker focused on reproductive freedom, health equity, and dismantling stigma in medicine. I consult with campaigns, coalitions, and advocacy organizations nationwide to sharpen messaging that moves hearts and audiences into action. In 2024, I joined the Harris for President digital team in Michigan, and my work has been featured in outlets including Huff Post, Newsweek, Detroit Free Press, Gander Newsroom, and Courier News among others.
As a writer, I contribute commentary on reproductive health and policy, and I’m the author of the book We Deserve More: How the Medical System Fails Gynecological Healthcare—And What You Can Do About It (Coming out May 2026!!!) The book is part validation, part toolkit—a practical guide for patients who want to enter healthcare spaces informed, confident, and ready to advocate for themselves.
My path here hasn’t been linear. When several of my pro-abortion and advocacy videos went viral, my voice became inconvenient to the institution I worked within—but that same voice helped spark a national conversation and build a movement rooted in patient empowerment. I was told I was “not a professional fit,” but the truth is I chose authenticity over silence, and I was never made to fit into the small box they wanted to keep me in.
I hold a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Movement Science, with a minor in Latin American & Caribbean Studies, from the University of Michigan.
I live in Metro Detroit with my husband and our three young kids. You’ll find me on the lake in the summer, cheering on the Wolverines in the fall, skiing through winter, stopping for every bloom in the spring—and year-round walking our rescue pup, Harby, named after Coach Harbaugh.
